A self-care Advent calendar is one of the few holiday splurges I’ll defend without a second thought. December asks a lot of you, and a small, good thing to open every morning is an easy way to keep your self-care routine from disappearing for a month.
But the giant “retail value” printed on the box doesn’t make one a good deal. I went through this year’s calendars looking for three things: brands worth recognizing, products you’d actually use, and enough real value to justify the price.
Most of my picks are on Amazon, and the rest are at Ulta or Sephora. Here are the self-care Advent calendars I think are actually worth buying in 2026.
Quick note: Prices and stock move fast during the holidays, especially around Amazon sales, and the most popular calendars sell out before December. If one is on your list, don’t wait.

1. Amazon 25 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar — Best Overall
$109 | 25 products | $525 stated value
This is the best overall value I found, and it isn’t close. The Amazon 25 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar packs 25 products into the box, and 19 of them are full-size. That’s what makes $109 easy to justify.
The brand list holds up, too: Summer Fridays, Supergoop!, Olaplex, medicube, Anua, Biodance, First Aid Beauty, amika and Salt & Stone all have a door.
It’s technically a beauty calendar, but the mix goes well beyond makeup. You get skincare, hair care, body care and fragrance, which makes it one of the better all-around self-care picks. The Biodance hydrogel under-eye patches are exactly the kind of small luxury that earns its spot on a tired morning (my Abib collagen eye patch review covers why I think patches are worth it at all).
At $109, you’re paying about $4.36 per product, and most of those products are full-size.
Worth it? Yes. If you want one calendar with a little bit of everything, this is my pick.
Skip it if: You already have a beauty-product backlog, or you’re happy with the skincare routine you’ve got.
2. Saje The Joy of Plants Advent Calendar — Best Wellness Advent Calendar
$145 | 12 days | About $207 stated value
This is the most wellness-focused calendar on the list. Instead of filling the box with makeup, the Saje The Joy of Plants Advent Calendar leans on the brand’s remedies: the Extra Strength pain-relieving oil blend, the Peppermint Halo roll-on, a Muscle Melt bath soak, body butter, hand cream and three diffuser blends.
It also comes with a small ceramic passive diffuser, so you’re not left holding three blends with nothing to put them in.
With only 12 days, it’s not the pick if you want the most products for your money. But the contents line up with how most of us actually do self-care in December: a bath, a calmer evening, something for sore shoulders. If rest is the thing you keep pushing to the bottom of the list, here’s how to actually rest when you’re busy.
Worth it? Yes, if you already like Saje or want a calendar built around aromatherapy and winding down rather than beauty.
Skip it if: Essential oils and aromatherapy aren’t something you’d use regularly.
3. ANUA 7-Days of Glass Skin Advent Calendar — Best Under $50
$34 | 7 days | $55 stated value
This is one of my favorite affordable options because it doesn’t try to impress you with 24 tiny products. The ANUA 7-Days of Glass Skin Advent Calendar gives you a week of ANUA skincare designed to be layered in order (cleansing oil, foam cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer and a lip treatment), so you finish the week with an actual routine.
It’s also a much easier price point if you want the fun of a skincare Advent calendar without spending $100 or more. You’ll find it at Ulta and Sephora.
Worth it? Yes. The savings aren’t as dramatic as the bigger calendars, but $34 for a curated set you’ll actually use makes sense.
Skip it if: You have sensitive skin or don’t want to introduce several new products at once.
4. KORRES Advent Calendar — Best Skincare + Body Care
$134 | 24 products | $472 stated value
KORRES is the move if you want more variety than a skincare-only calendar but don’t care about makeup. The KORRES Advent Calendar 2026 pulls 24 products from its best-known collections, including Greek Yoghurt, Wild Rose and Pure Greek Olive, across skincare and body care. Six are full-size.
The stated value is one of the better ratios on this list: $472 worth of products for $134.
Worth it? Yes, especially if you already use KORRES or have wanted to try it. You get enough variety to experiment without ending up with a random assortment of brands.
Skip it if: You’d rather spend $134 on a few full-size products you already know you love.
5. The Body Shop Core Advent Calendar — Best Bath & Body
$111 | 24 products | $244 stated value
If your version of self-care is more body butter and shower gel than serums and mascara, choose The Body Shop. The Body Shop Core Advent Calendar is heavy on the classics: four body butters (including Shea and British Rose), shower gels and creams, hand balms, lip butters, a few sheet masks, and travel-size shampoo and conditioner.
That makes it one of the most practical calendars here. These are products that slide into the routine you already have, right when winter skin starts asking for more.
Worth it? Yes, if you like The Body Shop. At $111 for a stated $244 value, there’s enough savings to make it worthwhile without spending $200.
Skip it if: You’re sensitive to fragrance or already have more body lotion than you can realistically use.
6. Kitsch Holiday Advent Calendar — Best for Hair Care
$119 | 12 products | $184 stated value
If your self-care leans more toward good hair days and better sleep than serums, the Kitsch Holiday Advent Calendar is a fun one. All 12 products are full-size, which is rare in an Advent calendar at any price.
Inside: claw clips, hair elastics, rice water shampoo and conditioner bars, a hair perfume, a satin pillowcase and an oversized satin bonnet, plus dermaplaning tools and a dermaplane oil.
The satin pillowcase and bonnet are the standouts. They’re the kind of low-effort upgrade that does its job while you sleep.
At $119, you’re paying about $9.92 per product. That’s more per door than the big beauty calendars, but every door is something you’d buy on its own.
Worth it? Yes, if you live in claw clips and satin, or you’re shopping for someone who does. Watch for Amazon coupons; it has dipped close to $100.
Skip it if: You rarely wear your hair up and have no interest in dermaplaning.
7. Tatcha 12 Ways to Love Your Skin Advent Calendar — Best Luxury Skincare
$199 | 12 products | $290 stated value
Tatcha takes a different approach from the 24- and 25-door calendars. The Tatcha 12 Ways to Love Your Skin Advent Calendar is 12 travel-size products that add up to a full routine: The Camellia Cleansing Oil, The Rice Polish, two serums, The Dewy Skin Cream, The Water Cream, an eye cream and a lip balm.
There are cheaper ways to try Tatcha, so I wouldn’t buy this just because it’s an Advent calendar. It makes the most sense for someone who already likes the brand and wants to try more of the lineup.
Worth it? For a Tatcha fan, yes. For pure value, I’d choose one of the less expensive calendars above.
Skip it if: You’re mainly after the biggest discount or the most products.
8. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Wonderland Advent Calendar — Best Luxury Makeup
$220 | 15 products | $400 stated value
If you love Pillow Talk, this is your calendar. The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Wonderland Advent Calendar hides 15 products in 12 jewel-handled drawers, and four are full-size: Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium, the Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk, an Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Stick and a Lip Cheat contour duo.
The rest are travel sizes, including Magic Serum Crystal Elixir and Exagger-Eyes mascara, plus a quartz gua sha and a mini makeup bag.
It also includes a travel-size jar of Charlotte’s Magic Cream, which is a smart way to try it before you commit to a full jar. My Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream review covers whether it’s worth the full-size price.
Worth it? Yes, for a Pillow Talk fan. Four full-size makeup products plus Magic Cream make $220 much easier to justify.
Skip it if: You don’t wear much makeup. This one is makeup-first, and $220 is a lot to spend on skincare minis alone.
9. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm Advent Calendar — Best Affordable Gift
About $30 | 12 lip balms
This isn’t the most exciting calendar on the list, but it may be the most practical. The Burt’s Bees 12 Days of Joy Lip Balm Advent Calendar gives you 12 lip balms in holiday flavors and everyday favorites, and there’s no mystery about whether you’ll use what’s inside.
It’s inexpensive enough for a teacher, coworker or stocking gift, and a much safer bet than a cheap no-name spa calendar that just happens to have 24 doors. It’s the same rule I use for gifts she’ll actually use every day: useful beats impressive.
Worth it? Yes, especially on sale. It’s recognizable, useful and easy to gift.
Skip it if: Twelve lip balms sounds less like an Advent calendar and more like a lifetime supply.
10. Twinings Tea Advent Calendar — Best Tea Advent Calendar
About $25 | 48 tea bags
If you don’t need one more skincare product, a tea Advent calendar is one of my favorite alternatives. The Twinings Tea Advent Calendar has 48 tea bags, two for each day, across black, green and herbal blends.
I also like that it’s consumable. You get the fun of opening something every day without ending December with another pile of products taking up space. And if coffee has started making you anxious, a daily tea door is an easy way to try a few swaps.
At around $25, it’s one of the least expensive picks on this list. If tea is the whole point for you, my roundup of the best tea Advent calendars compares 10 of them on price per cup, variety and caffeine.
Worth it? Yes. It’s affordable, useful and gives you enough tea for two cups (or two people) every day.
Skip it if: You already know exactly which tea you like and aren’t interested in trying new blends.
Are Self-Care Advent Calendars Worth It?
They can be, but I wouldn’t judge one by its stated retail value.
A calendar holding “$400 worth of products” isn’t worth $400 to you if you’d never buy most of those products on their own.
I’m an IIN-certified health coach, and the filter I use on any wellness purchase is simple: does it earn its place in a regular week? For Advent calendars, that comes down to three questions:
- Will I actually use most of the products? Five exciting doors don’t make the other 19 valuable.
- Are the products big enough to be useful? Full-size and decent travel sizes are worth far more than a box of single-use samples.
- Does the price still make sense without the packaging? The packaging is half the fun, but I don’t want to pay mostly for cardboard.
That’s why the Amazon calendar stands out this year. Nineteen full-size products out of 25 makes its $525 stated value mean something.
It’s also why I included inexpensive options like Twinings and Burt’s Bees. An Advent calendar doesn’t need hundreds of dollars in “value” to be worth buying.
Which Self-Care Advent Calendar Is Best?
If I were choosing on overall value, I’d buy the Amazon 25 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar. At $109 for 25 products, 19 of them full-size, it has the best combination of price, brands and products you’ll actually use.
For wellness over beauty, I’d choose Saje The Joy of Plants.
And under $50, I like the ANUA 7-Days of Glass Skin Advent Calendar. It’s smaller, but I’d rather have seven products that work together than 24 random minis.
The best deal isn’t the calendar with the highest stated value. It’s the one full of things you’ll reach for on a dark December morning. And yes, buying one for yourself counts, because self-care isn’t selfish. If you want the rest of the plan for getting through the dark months feeling like yourself, start with my fall routine reset for preventing winter blues.
