The holidays are here! And even though this will not be William’s first Christmas, it will be the first I get to actually celebrate with him!
William was born just two days before Christmas last year and it breaks my heart that we didn’t even get home from the hospital until the evening of Christmas day.
So this year, I want to make it special and curate a little holiday cheer with a Christmas holiday bookshelf.
We will really enjoy reading these each night leading up to Christmas.
All the books I used to curate this shelf can be found here!
Cozy Holiday Book Nook Space and Wall Shelves
William’s nursery has a little wall space between two closets in his room, so I made this cozy little book nook with his rocker, side table and small white floating shelves that fit so perfectly and made great use of this wall.
He LOVES his books and now that he’s able to point, he likes to pick his books out to read! Just kidding, he likes to point at the cutest little gingerbread garland so that he can chew on it LOL so I bought an extra to have a spare piece of garland to keep his bookshelf looking this cute 🙂
This is the cutest gingerbread garland I used.
Selecting Christmas Holiday Books for Baby
I actually chose many of these books based on reviews believe it or not! I mean, it is excellent that your child is hearing the words, learning and looking at images, but I want to enjoy them too!
So, having vetted these beforehand, I can highly recommend each one for imagery and illustration, content, cleverness, and engagement like lift flaps or touch-and-feel books that gives added surprise.
These books are also baby-friendly. They’re not super sturdy (many are board books) and not easily damaged, so they’re great to start with for baby and toddlers.
These 14″ white floating shelfs are perfect for small spaces.
Making Memories Reading with Your Baby
These carefully curated books not only offer a delightful reading experience for your baby but also provide an opportunity for you to create lasting memories together.
I love the idea of purchasing 25 of these so you can read each one before Christmas. And when William’s a little older, it would be so fun to add a little note or gift in each one and make it an advent calendar experience.
I’ll be finishing decorating William’s room after Thanksgiving. The next couple items I’m adding are the gingerbread pillow to the rocking chair and putting up a little tree!
Imagine snuggling up in a cozy nook with your little bundle of joy, surrounded by the warmth of the holiday spirit and the enchantment of these stories.
Wishing you and yours a safe and warm holiday this year <3
