Healthy Brownies Made with Black Beans

This healthy brownie recipe is made with black beans. It's easy to make and a delicious treat with nutritious ingredients perfect for you're craving a chocolate dessert.

  • 1 8" x 8" Baking Pan
  • 1 Blender

Ingredients
  

  • 15 oz can of black beans drained and rinsed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips divided
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup organic honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8" x 8" baking pan and set aside. Heat coconut oil to melt.
  • Add beans, coconut oil, coconut sugar, and honey into blender first. Blend until well combined.
  • Then add cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla and sea salt into blender and blend until smooth.
  • Lastly, add eggs and blend until just combined.
  • Mix just 1/2 cup of choclate chips into batter.
  • Pour batter into baking pan evenly. Add remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top of the batter.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top of the brownies has set and are slightly pulling away from the edge of the pan.
  • Let cool before cutting, then enjoy!
