A creamy, mayo-based coleslaw dressing that comes together in 5 minutes. Tangy, lightly sweet, and balanced — enough to dress one bag of coleslaw mix.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or white vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • Taste and adjust: more vinegar if too mayo-heavy, more mayo or sweetness if too sharp.
  • Toss with a bag of coleslaw mix, or store in the fridge until ready to use.

Notes

  • Makes enough for one 14–16 oz bag of coleslaw mix (about 4 cups).
  • For a lighter dressing, use 1/4 cup mayo + 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream.
  • Keeps 5–7 days airtight in the fridge; shake or stir before using.
