How to cook Costco Kirkland sous vide egg bites in the microwave, air fryer, or oven — from refrigerated or straight from frozen, with times for each method.

Ingredients

  • 2 Costco Kirkland Signature Sous Vide Egg Bites (refrigerated or frozen)

Instructions

  • Thaw first (best results): Move a sealed 2-pack from the freezer to the fridge the night before. In the morning, cook using the refrigerated times below.
  • Microwave, refrigerated or thawed: Place 2 egg bites on a plate and cover loosely with a damp paper towel. Microwave on full power 60 seconds, then add 15-second increments until hot in the center. Rest 30 seconds before eating.
  • Microwave, frozen (fast): Microwave on full power 2 to 2.5 minutes, checking at 2 minutes. Rest a full minute before adding time. This is the least even method — expect hot edges.
  • Microwave, frozen (better): Run 3 minutes on defrost or 50% power, then 20 to 30 seconds at full power to finish. Pulsing the power lets heat conduct inward instead of overcooking the outside.
  • Air fryer, refrigerated or thawed: Air fry at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes. No preheat or oil needed. Best texture of any method.
  • Air fryer, frozen: Air fry at 400°F for 12 to 14 minutes.
  • Oven, refrigerated or thawed: Bake at 400°F for 14 to 16 minutes on a small sheet pan.
  • Oven, frozen: Bake at 400°F for 20 to 22 minutes.

Notes

  • Stopping 15 seconds early and resting is what prevents a rubbery texture — carryover heat finishes them. The air fryer gives the best texture of any method.
  • To freeze, put the unopened sealed 2-packs straight into the freezer; they keep about 3 months.
  • An overnight thaw in the fridge beats every from-frozen method and costs nothing but remembering.
