These Ninja Turtle Valentines are a simple, no-candy Valentine’s Day craft kids genuinely get excited about. Made with basic craft supplies and inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they’re perfect for classrooms, playdates, or a low-key Valentine’s Day activity at home.
Green cardstock or construction paper
Colored paper or felt (blue, red, orange, purple)
Googly eyes (use ones with sticker to avoid glue for the younger kids)
Scissors
Glue stick or craft glue
Black marker (for simple faces or optional message on back)
Cut the Hearts
Cut four heart shapes from green cardstock. These will be the turtle faces.
Create the Turtle Masks
Cut thin strips from blue, red, orange, and purple paper or felt. Trim small triangle ends on one side to resemble bandana ties.
Attach the Masks
Glue one colored strip across the upper third of each heart to form the turtle masks.
Add the Eyes
Glue googly eyes on top of each mask strip.
Optional Faces
Use a black marker to draw a small smile under the mask.
Flip and Personalize
Turn one or two hearts over and write a short note
Let Dry
Allow glue to set before stacking or packaging.
This craft works especially well as a no-candy classroom Valentine.
If making for a group, pre-cut the hearts and mask strips to save time.
Felt creates a slightly sturdier Valentine, while paper is faster and easier for kids.
