This golden milk recipe is a warm, comforting turmeric milk made with simple spices and gently heated so your body can actually absorb the benefits. It’s naturally caffeine-free, easy to make, and genuinely delicious — perfect for winding down after a long day.
1 cup milk of choice (oat, almond, coconut, or dairy)
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Pinch of ground cardamom (optional but lovely)
Tiny pinch of black pepper
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (optional)
Add the milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and black pepper to a small saucepan.
Warm gently over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally. Do not boil.
Once hot and lightly steaming, remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla and sweetener, if using.
Pour into a mug and enjoy warm.
Heating the turmeric and including black pepper helps your body better absorb curcumin.
Full-fat coconut milk makes this richer and more latte-like.
This recipe is flexible — adjust spices and sweetness to taste.
If you’re new to turmeric, start with a smaller amount and see how your body responds.
